Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
This vegan chocolate chip banana bread is a real crowd pleaser! For an extra delicious treat, serve lightly toasted with dairy-free butter.
- 11 inch loaf pan
- large bowl

- 300 g Rolled Oats
- 15 g Baking Powder
- 5 g Baking Soda
- 5 g Cinnamon (ground)
- 5 g Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
- 3 large bananas
- 200 ml almond milk (unsweetened)
- 150 g dark chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 200°C and grease an 11 inches (27 cm) loaf pan and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and, a pinch of salt.
- In a blender, blend together the bananas, milk, and, vanilla extra.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stir a few times, then fold in chocolate chips and mix everything gently just until combined.
- Scrape batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and top with a few chocolate chips.
- Bake for 23 to 25 min at 200°C or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Cool bread completely on a wire cooling rack.
- Once cooled, remove from pan and devour!
You can also garnish the cake with other ingredients (before baking) such as: almonds, hazelnuts, coconut, dates or dried figs.
If you are not patient, this cake is also very good when it is still warm.
